The “Royal Shield Bearer” to King Nebuchadnezzar, who befriends Daniel as he’s taken as a hostage to Babylon. Serving as the king’s trusted right hand man in battle and military strategy, when in a tough position against the Egyptian army at the edge of the Sinai Desert, fearing defeat, he convinces the king to evacuate his army back to Judah.

To add insult to injury, Pharaoh has intentionally poisoned all the wells along the Babylonian path of retreat, in an effort to force Nebuchadnezzar’s thirsting and weakened troops back to an easy defeat at the hands of the Egyptian army.

Neriglissar sets out to find an alternate route across Sinai from the nearby Bedouins. Desperate, Neriglissar prostrates and implores Daniel’s God for a solution to their problems.

“The Exile” is a three-part film project based on the book of Daniel and the events surrounding remnant Israel’s seventy year exile in Babylon. Following in the tradition of Ben-Hur, this biblical epic fuses together the sub-genres to which “The Passion of the Christ” and “Gladiator” belong. The story carries the gospel message from a unique perspective, the events within it occurring hundreds of years before Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death and resurrection.
