Cyrus The Great

The Persian king who emancipated the Judean captives in Babylon, he allowed them to return to Judah and rebuild the destroyed Temple Of Solomon. Upon Cyrus’s army of Medes and Persians reaching Babylon, they lay siege to the city; a formidable challenge.

They receive a dispatch from the satrap of Elam, Daniel, stating that Cyrus’s victories and meteoric rise in power has been appointed by God and that he will subdue nations.

When Darius realizes who it is from, he tells Cyrus of the glorious legacy that Daniel not only left in Babylon but also in their home of Medea, where Daniel served as Emissary to Cyrus’s great uncle’s court.

About

the exile king2
“The Exile” is a three-part film project based on the book of Daniel and the events surrounding remnant Israel’s seventy year exile in Babylon. Following in the tradition of Ben-Hur, this biblical epic fuses together the sub-genres to which “The Passion of the Christ” and “Gladiator” belong. The story carries the gospel message from a unique perspective, the events within it occurring hundreds of years before Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death and resurrection.
